Next Great Flight A very special centennial • Jim “Pee Wee” Martin jumped as part of the “Screaming Eagles” US Army 101st Airborne Division during Operation Overlord into Normandy, France, followed by Operation Market Garden and the Battle of the Bulge. More than 75 years later, volunteers from the Commemorative Air Force, Tunison Foundation and WWII Airborne Demonstration Team provided a 100th birthday celebration in tribute to Martin’s valor and that of his fellow Eagles—just a few remain.
